the journey
While I have worked for a number of state government agencies, this is the first time I’ve considered running for election in my local council.
Follow my journey in the podcast hosted by Locale Learning as I navigate how it works, what it means and my reasons for doing it.
About me
I live in a small town call Wootton with my husband Stuart and our 3 chickens - Lucy, Pollito and Kevin. I’m the president of the Wootton Community Network and a regular at the Nabiac Farmers Market.
I’ve been in communications and stakeholder engagement for over 20 years, and worked for almost a dozen state government agencies including Service NSW, Planning & Environment and Transport for NSW.
I believe I can add value as I understand the processes and politics of government, and while they’re often not fast or fun, I know how to work with them to get success for communities.
I’m not afraid to speak up when there’s a lack of logic or something doesn’t feel right…
I’m running on the current Deputy Mayor’s ticket - Alan Tickle, and you can follow us on his Facebook page here.

My local council is the Mid Coast Council

My husband and I moved to the Mid Coast in December 2021. Prior to that we lived in Maitland, Sydney and the Central Coast.

I want to be involved in the local community and add value to the direction of the beautiful place I call home.
